While also serving as one of the executive producers for the hit drama series, Legend will be making cameo appearances as eminent human rights leader Frederick Douglass. But it’s unknown whether he’ll be a recurring figure in the 10-episode run of the hit show’s sophomore season.

Douglass won’t be the only resonating historical name to make an appearance on Underground second run. According to EW, actress Aisha Hind will portray Harriet Tubman, while Sadie Stratton will portray Patty Cannon, an inhuman slave trader.

Season 2 is shaping up to be interesting. Let’s see how the writers integrate Frederick Douglass in the script when “Underground” returns early 2017.
