It looks like her music career isn’t the only thing Letoya Luckett is bringing ‘Back To Life.’
In addition to scoring a recurring role on FOX’s hit show, ‘Rosewood,’ Luckett has reportedly joined the all-star cast of USA Network’s ‘Unsolved’ – a scripted series based on the murder investigations of late rap icons Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.
Details inside:
Also starring fellow singer Luke James and actress Alsha Hinds, the series’ pilot will be helmed by Anthony Hemingway, most famous for directing FX’s hit ‘The People Vs. O.J. Simpson’ miniseries.
“…is based on the experiences of former LAPD Detective Greg Kading, who led multiple law-enforcement task forces investigating the murders.
James will play Sean “Puffy” Combs; Aisha Hinds will be Voletta Wallace, Biggie’s mother; and LeToya Luckett will play Sharitha Golden, the estranged wife of Death Row records CEO Suge Knight.”
As fans know, this biographical venture will come as yet another role of sorts for both Luckett and James. While the former made headlines for nabbing the role of ‘Dionne Warwick’ in her yet-titled biopic (read more on that by clicking here), the latter is still receiving glowing reviews for his portrayal of ‘Johnnie Gill’ in BET’s hit biographical mini-series based on R&B group New Edition.
