‘Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce’ may have just stormed theaters on December 1, but it has already cracked the top 5 on the list of highest-grossing concert movies/documentaries of all time.

As reported here, the ‘Renaissance’ film enjoyed a historic opening weekend – one that saw its premiere greeted with the highest early December figures of any film since 2003.
In the two days that followed its debut the movie – written, produced, and directed by Beyonce in support of her 7th solo studio album and succeeding concert tour of the same name – became the highest-grossing concert film by any woman of color ever.
As of December 18, its lifelong domestic box office figures hover right at the $31 million – making it the fifth best-performing movie of its genre in American history.

@Curt: THIS is my issue. When it comes to supporting her product (except concerts), the Beyhive STAY failing their “favorite” artist…I saw the movie in IMAX the first night and my venue was perhaps a third full. Sad…for all that talking on social media they do.
