Coupled with the meteoric rise of Urban media darling Ciara, the pressure was on to win over and hold the support of a typically tough crowd.
With all this mind, it isn’t difficult to understand why the amiable vocalist would often agree to offer interviews with outlets fronted by personalities who’d bash her daily.

Ciara was never urban…she grew up seeing the world and her whole image wasn’t real. Shame she doesn’t get it..urban is what helped her sell not pop. Urban crossover… but she and her fans are delusional thinking she was straight Britney Spears. Once she went Valley Girl or showed us her true self.. no one liked it.. comes across as pretentious, bland, and not likeable at all.. all the things Beyonce is… yet Bey has a budget to hide behind with smoke and mirrors.. someone who married a hard body rapper with street cred helped her trick the masses into believing she is soo hood and urban… nope… this girl is just like Ciara… grew up with more then the average black kid living down South… who went to Germany? Had both parents? Lived in a big house?? Had maids?? Saw Military bases? Very few… how is that hood? Her slang, demeanors, wearing flannel… all fraudulent
