Social Media Labels Whoopi Goldberg A “Coon” After Deray McKesson Drama

Published: Thursday 13th Jul 2017 by David

This week, the beloved ‘Black Lives Matter’ activist Deray McKesson took to Twitter to reveal that he believed he had been slighted by the minds behind ‘Planet of the Apes.’

His tweets, which cited Hollywood’s undeniable efforts to endorse scientific racism as his cause for concern, saw him garner the support of those who felt he had been slighted by the movie.

Fortunately it wasn’t long before movie buffs took to social media to ease Deray’s fears by explaining that the character many believed had been based on his appearance was actually inspired by another set of characters in the franchise.

Where Whoopi Goldberg comes into play?

Hurt by her abrasiveness, Deray replied with…

Things have now taken a turn for the worst. For, after teasing McKesson for not doing his research into the movie’s history before tweeting, social media has turned on Whoopi Goldberg for her supposed “eagerness” to tear him down.

Why? Her supposed habit of turning a blind-eye to veiled-racism in her industry.

Do you agree?

The absolute worst thing – the thing I despise most – about social media is that now we can all vent out opinions publicly and ride the bandwagon.

Whoopi is an ICON and social media can wrap it up and go to bed lol…calling Whoopi a c***? Naw, she had to play a game with a harsh SET OF RULES for how blacks were to be portrayed in the movie industry…and she did it HER WAY…the SECOND black woman to EVER receive an Oscar…STILL getting work..I’m sure Whoopi has seen it ALL…Hollywood is full of some vile ish and sacrifices! Don’t come for the person who helped pave the way for your beautiful black asss to even GET on the silver screen!

IT IS WHAT IT IS because itzallconnected.

Sexism, racism, and colorism are pre-programmed, mental, illnesses founded, and grounded, in extremely low self-esteem. Why do “men” who beat, r***, murder, slander, abandon, and deny the beauty of the same richly melanated [black] women who birthed, and loved, them expect to be supported by The Divine Mother? When will the majority of melanated [black] “men” accept “response-abillity” for their poor choices?

The average melanated [black] male suffers with, and from, at least 2 of the above three mental illnesses. The average melanated [black] male feeds his white paper plated ego by critiquing the average melanated [black] woman’s weak imitation of a “white lady.” Why would a self-aware, fully conscious, melanated [black] woman take that level of mental illness home and put it in her bed? Why/How should a melanated [black] woman worship the penis that only she can make? The power resides within she, who makes the penis; not within he, who must be taught what to do with that penis by a woman starting with toilet training.

In all ways, for always, the energy put into the world by each of us comes home to all of us–as us. Integrity is what holds your life, and your ass, together. Where there is no integrity, there is no need for dignity. Back in the day, the original understanding of “h**, and spade”, included helping The White Man dig a deeper hole. Karma is what karma does. You take on the [group] karma of your mate. Before you choose the wind beneath your wings, learn which way is up. Tragically, in spite of centuries of warning that still include death, and castration, many of “the brothers” are now wedlocked, or d***-deep into a very deep hole. At the end of The Last Daze, both heads on the average black male will hang in shame. Perhaps, Jesus is saving them for last. ?

Plz. She’s the further from a c***. Deray misinterpreted and misspoke. Bye

She said it best “you’re doing good work don’t ruin it by doing something stupid”. She said nothing wrong here.
Next time instead of going straight to social media he should reach out privately and since he has these friends inside the movie industry that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
And he really thinks he wrote something when he said “I’m here if you have something to say”. Well she already did and you obviously listened, get out your feelings and move on. It ain’t personal other than you attacking a movie series she respects without facts or knowledge of it to stand on.

This site is always so one sided! You can find more people on social media agreeing with Whoopi than not agreeing with her! Why don’t yall post those tweets as well!?

Whoopi is far from a cone! She’s an ICON! She called him out for not doing his research and rightfully so!

Deray and his followers can take that L and move TF on!

    BL still M though!

No Whoopie is definitely a c***. She is just not a c*** on this particular post. Don’t be blindsided. Know your facts first. Google “Whoopie Mel Gibson” for example and you will find a quick example of her cooning.

Hundreds of people are involved in making a movie and many people are invested. When you falsely attack a film you are attacking the livelihood of many people , I think he’s a person that looks for racism in everything and sometimes you see what you want to see. With the movie about to premiere and so much riding on than, I think Whoopi did the right thing to publicly and quickly debunk his foolishness before falsehoods spread. Good Job to her. Deray now has equated himself to a g– damned m***** on his very own, idiot, and no he is not doing good work, BLM ain’t saving no black lives, murder among black people is way up and it’s because the police ain’t f– with black people no more, they letting black people get away with murder now, to avoid being in the crosshairs of a protest. BLM people don’t consider side effects of their actions because they narrow minded just because it is against the white man don’t mean it will help the black man, their anti white rhetoric gave energy to the Trump movement and look what we got now, I can bet just like that fool Kaepernick, many didn’t even vote or they encouraged people to not vote or vote for some person that had no chance of winning like fool Marc Lamont Hill etc. Not doing good at all, yelling and screaming and cursing out whites don’t make you a leader. They are poster people for white nationalist recruiters.

I bet you applauded her when she defended MEL Gibson too.

  8. Caleb July 13, 2017

She also said Mel Gibson wasn’t racist after he told his girlfriend he wanted her and her baby to be ra ped by a “pack of n-words”.

    • Jasmine July 13, 2017

I agree that Whoopie is a c*** but she is not a c*** on this particular article.

The Colour Purple, Ghost & Sister act 1&2 are not enough for me to ever side with Whoopi. Whoopi and her unconventional image was given a place in Hollywood and with that she just gives her bi polar views on racism which seem to change from situation to season. I wish her the best because only Tyler Perry or Lee Daniels and white Hollywood will be endorsing your kind of blackness.

    • Jasmine July 13, 2017

I agree. I am not sure if Whoopie is bipolar but she is definitely on the strange side and it makes perfect sense that she is a sci-fi lover and knows her sci-fi movies.
