Jhene Aiko fans rejoice as her official sophomore era is underway.
Just weeks after announcing the title of her second album, christened ‘Trip 17,’ the songstress unveiled news the set would be preceded by a semi-autobiographical short film titled, ‘Trip.’ Written and directed alongside ‘Girls Trip’ writer Tracy Oliver, the flick sees Aiko assume the role of ‘Penny’ – a character who seeks romance to help with the grief of her brother’s death.
A self-described tale of ‘love, loss, and self-discovery,’ ‘Trip’ is currently available for free streaming on YouTube and can be seen below:
‘Trip’ can also be purchased for download through the website, JheneIsPenny.com.
