Singer/actress Teyana Taylor is no stranger to seeing jaws drop in response to her killer body and equally devastating dance moves, so it was only fitting the mega-talent be tapped to lead the cast of the latest installment of the romantic dance franchise, ‘Honey.’
First brought to fame nearly 15 years ago with its original installment starring Jessica Alba, the Billie Woodruff-directed series of films has seen multiple reincarnations since 2003 with last year’s edition starring singer/dancer/model Cassie.
This year its fourth installment, ‘Honey: Rise Up & Dance,’ will be toplined by Taylor and ‘Empire’ dancer/rapper Bryshere Gray. Curious to find out when you can catch the two in action? Look inside for the trailer and more details:
Plot [source]:
Set in Atlanta, “aspiring street dancer Skyler (Taylor) is at a major crossroads in her life. She’s decided to try-out for the same dance crew as her formally trained sister Tosha (McClain) in order to compete for a college scholarship, but is discouraged by her family and boyfriend who doubt that her raw, edgy talent is enough for her to win. Determined to prove them all wrong, Skyler practices nonstop in Atlanta’s underground dance scene and catches the eye of Tyrell (Gray). He helps her take her dance and hip-hop battle skills to the next level in order to achieve her dreams. “
Honey: Rise Up and Dance will be released on DVD and digital download on April 3, 2018.

That’s a BODY.
I love me some tt but this. No thanks. I love the ORIGINAL honey.
This looks good haven’t seen the one with Cassie tho
I’m all for it but can they stop using the “Honey” brand. The one with Jessica Alba was too good for these half-brain spin-offs. Outside of that, I’ll tune in for it. I love TT.
The original Honey movie still stands as one of the cheesiest movies of all-time in my opinion. Jessica Alba was horrible in that role and sounded so awkward delivering lines like “yea, we just peoples.” Missy Elliot was the most memorable from the movie because every scene she was in she was going off on somebody, telling her driver “you big big lookin, driving miss daisy men-in-Black lookin ass, you made me late for Ms. Honey Daniels.”
