Meghan Markle, the latest addition to the beloved British royal family, has praised Tarana Burke‘s #MeToo movement for the work it has done to scorch sexual predators and their enablers.
Speaking at a forum launched to celebrate the Royal Foundation, Markle revealed that she was moved by the success Burke and her supporters have achieved in their quest to lift the lid and shed light on sexual abuse.
Her thoughts and feelings below…
I think right now in the climate we are seeing so many campaigns, I mean Me Too and Time’s Up, and there is no better time than to really continue to shine a light on women feeling empowered and people really helping to support them – men included in that. I mean, it makes such a tremendous difference.
Markle is to wed Prince Harry of England in the May of this year and has pulled the plug on her career as an actress to focus on philanthropic causes that are near and dear to her heart.
