Stevie J may have one of the most recognizable smirks in reality TV, but the sometimes music producer has little to smile about today.

For, he’s heading to jail.

According to TMZ, the ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta‘ star will need to turn himself in to authorities on April 10th for failure to pay child support.

The reality personality reportedly owes more than $1.3 million in unpaid payments for his numerous children.

Typically, such cases are handled in state court, however the sheer amount owed, the lengthy time he’s been behind, and the different home states of all involved have rendered it a federal case.

Interestingly, while the judgement was handed down today, the situation has been ongoing for some time.

Stevie pled guilty to his wrongs in February 2017. At the time, he was given probation for 3 years – a period that would be shorter should he have paid off the $1.3 million earlier.

Despite this, federal prosecutors also lobbied for a custodial sentence and that has now come to fruition.

It’s not known yet how long he’ll be behind bars.
