BET’s HBCU-inspired drama – ‘The Quad’ – may have earned mountains of praise for its suspenseful drama and engaging storylines, but those consistent wins on the critical front were not enough to keep the network interested in renewing the show for a season 3.
Details inside:
“The series dipped in ratings from its first to second season. Season 2 averaged a 0.2 in the adults 18-49 demographic and 553,000 viewers per episode in Live+Same Day according to Nielsen, each metric down around 30% from the first season.”
Much like we reported here, the Anika Noni Rose-led show – created by Felicia Henderson and Charles Holland – saw its second season premiere almost a year after its predecessor ended. It’s possible in that long window fans simply lost interest.
Another one bites the dust.
