Action movies, much to the annoyance of their fans, are often snubbed by the Oscars in favour of hard-hitting and melodramatic pictures.
However, if the Marvel execs behind ‘Black Panther‘s marketing have their way, that’s all set to change…this year.

In an interview with ‘Vox’, Marvel big wig Kevin Feige revealed that he is determined to ensure that the creatives who backed and fronted the picture are considered by the Oscar family when the next set of nominations are announced.
I think there are a lot of amazing artists that helped to make that movie, and it would be wonderful if they could be recognized. Almost everyone involved in that movie, bringing that movie together, is great, and it would be wonderful to see if they’re recognized. We’ll see. This genre, typically not.
If ‘Panther’ picked up the gong for ‘Best Picture’ it would be the very first comic book-based movie to do so.

Avengers was better than Black Panther though….
I don’t it’s got Best Picture.
But others like cinematography, costuming shoe in I believe if nominated.
so they basically ask for Affirmative action
but its a s*** movie
it did well mostly cuz its the first comics movie with black actors
Bish please! LOL It is just one more basic Marvel flick. It´s won´t win no damn main oscar. I doubt it gets not even something like visual effects or anything.
