Things are changing over at VH1.
Details on the moves the company is making to give a fresh pair of legs to some of its biggest shows below….
VH1 hired Shed Media to produce ‘Basketball Wives’ and Eastern TV to build ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’ but has now replaced them as it hopes to push the shows in new directions.
Quite interestingly, Eastern will continue to produce the ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ and ‘New York’ but has lost its power over the Teairra Mari-fronted ‘Hollywood’ which is likely to be renewed for another season this year.
VH1 has already invited new producers to come and pitch for these shows as it looks to take them in a new direction. It is understood that these are two unrelated instances and that it is not part of a wider drive or related to the launch of MTV Studios.
The changes over at ‘Wives’ are being made to help the series birth a number of spinoffs following the merging of ‘Basketball Wives Miami’ and ‘Los Angeles.’
‘Wives’ follows the lives of several ladies of leisure with romantic ties to the world of basketball.
Hmmm…that would be interesting! Hope it would work out for the best!
as long as Shaunie is not part of the casts….
i’d rather they just end them both
Evelyn is fierce. Poor Jennifer got played to be a Villian — like they did Jackie. Jennifer is more interesting than all of them except EV and Jackie. Shaunie corny
If they fire Shaunie as producer and keep her on the show, I think it would be better for the girls to have more freedom.
Keep Jackie, add Monica, Savannah James, Tamia and Gabrielle Union
