When Wendy Williams took a three-month hiatus from her talkshow, the star and those around her consistently touted complications surrounding Graves disease as the cause.
However, it’s become apparent that there may be more to that story.
Because moments ago on the morning broadcast of her show, the former shock jock revealed that she now lives in a sober house facility and has a 24-hour sober coach.

Williams did not disclose the catalyst for her seclusion, but didn’t shy away from the fact she has been a cocaine addict in the past and that sober houses are for those battling addiction.
They’re renown for acting as a middle ground between rehab facilities and re-integration back into day-to-day life.
Tearful whilst making the revelation, she explained that no one in her family – besides her husband and son – knew about her treatment prior to the televised announcement.
She said of her experience:
“I see my brothers and sisters caught up in their addiction and looking for help … They don’t know I’m Wendy. They don’t care I’m Wendy. It’s the brothers and sisters caught up in the struggle. It’s been really interesting this ride.”
Kudos to her for keeping it real about her predicament. Here’s wishing her a speedy recovery.

If she don’t get rid of that raggedy husband and get out of that abusive relationship her issues will continue. Addiction is a disease but it’s exasperated by dealing with a toxic environment and toxic job.
So now she can understand some of what Whitney went through when she talked about her like a dog. Still, hope Wendy pulls it together for herself and child. And eventually handle those maritial issues.
KUDOS? no… she did not admit to presently using drugs or recently using drugs. she is also only dropping this little media spin to garner public sympathy & to detract attention away from the nucleus of this all — her broken marriage.

Ok so this is my timeline of events:
Husband abuses her – breaking shoulder / arm
Starts pain medication for said injury.
This leads to a gateway for substances abuse, as we all know once an addict always an addict. Wishing her a speedy recovery and hope she finds humility and strength from this experience.
Everytime I see Wendy cry, i cry. Damn. I’m glad she’s recovering though!
