Lifetime‘s ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ is widely considered the trigger that set off a ripple effect of woes for the embattled singer.
A lengthy list of women sat down with filmmaker Dream Hampton and shared harrowing stories of abuse, grooming, and humiliation.
In the weeks following, the star was hit with legal ramifications – including a 10-count indictment for sexual assault. Initial failure to post bail saw him imprisoned for several days. He then returned to the slammer after struggling to make child support payments to ex-wife Andrea Kelly.
As he gears up for a series of colossal court dates, Lifetime have announced a follow-up special set to air next month.

Per a press statement issued moments ago, the network confirmed the broadcast of a two-hour special named ‘Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact.’
Set to air on May 4th at 10pm ET, it’s hosted by critically acclaimed journalist Soledad O’Brien.
It’s billed as highlighting the impact the original doc has had on culture and conversation worldwide, with specific spotlight on the need to address sexual violence and what it means to be a survivor.
The six part documentary was more than enough we don’t need no more.

They doing the most. If they wanted to do a follow up about the impact of woman speaking up against who they deem to be sexual abusers allegedly they didn’t have to do it using RKelly’s name. They could have kept it general & depicted the many cases their are out there. SMH

Robert is not 100% guilty .this site continues to just post false accusations but never Roberts defense. When you type you never have any words positive for him. YOU don’t have anything negative to say about the girls who are lying on him.. Never anything in Roberts defense in your own words.

They would post a defense if Robert offered a defense. Whenever he is given the chance to tell his side, the words are “I’m not a monster” and “What about the parents?” or “Let me ask you this.” He never concentrates on proving his innocence; it’s always him shifting blame and deflecting.
I love his music, bit his antics are way to much forr. I have a daughter, so him being locked away should bring some comfort to those he abused. I will always love his music,but have deep disdain for his character.
