Fans of the Lee Daniels-directed ‘Empire’ (as we reported here) hopeful the news of its renewal would trickle down to his other FOX series, ‘Star,’ were dealt a crushing blow earlier today when it was announced the musical drama would not be returning for season 4.

“Star” has been canceled after three seasons at Fox.
The musical drama from Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy told the story of three girls’ rise to fame. It starred Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Queen Latifah, Quincy Brown and Amiyah Scott. Daniels, Pamela Oas Williams and Karin Gist were executive producers; Gist was also the showrunner. I think it is DISRESPECTFUL to viewers of a show not to have a series finale. I am still on season 1 of Star but now I feel like I will stop watching knowing viewers were not given a proper finale. The viewers are who deliver the ratings that attract the sponsors to keep a show goin. Disrespecting viewers really urges viewers not to trust FOx.
You should definitely keep watching. The show just gets better and better as you go along. And the season 1 finale is going to leave you shook.
Shows get cancelled when they love viewers and fail to attract new viewers (aka your slow ass stuck on season 1); they cut loose and keep it moving.

I totally Disagree with the Star franchise being cancelled! I actually started making sure I didn’t miss any of the Star episodes but was able to blow Empire off! Maybe y’all can find a different network to air Star. I’m not trying to say that Empire is horrible because I do watch it. I just know that everybody that watches Star is truly unhappy!!! Guess I won’t be watching Empire. They can stay & Star needs to stay too!! Please bring it back!!!
