Fans of ‘Scandal’ star Kerry Washington know her storied resume has seen her join forces with comedian/singer Jamie Foxx more than once on film.
Now, alongside their two most famous screen sharing moments (2004’s Ray Charles biopic, ‘Ray,’ and later 2012’s ‘Django Unchained’) the duo is set to reunite for yet another project: a “one night only” live remake of the groundbreaking 1970’s comedy, ‘The Jeffersons.’

Washington’s been added to the sitcom special from Jimmy Kimmel that will re-create episodes of two iconic 1970s sitcoms created by Norman Lear.
The Scandal alum will play Helen Willis, the character who was one half of the first interracial couple featured on American primetime TV, in Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s ‘All in the Family’ and ‘The Jeffersons.’ [source]
