Steve Harvey’s syndicated daytime talk show “Steve” will end its run in June.  “The Kelly Clarkson Show” will move into the prime daytime slots occupied on NBC by Harvey’s show for the past seven seasons.

“Steve” taped its final episode on Thursday. Originals will air through June and the show will remain on the air in reruns through September.

The controversial move raised eyebrows from fans who are well aware of the highly publicized “animosity between NBCUniversal and Endeavor’s IMG Original Content over IMG’s takeover of the show two seasons ago.”  Regardless, we must say farewell to the funnyman’s daytime series.

Kelly is cheaper than Steve after Steve’s 2016 new contract. that is why he is fired. These white devils hate to see a black man succeed.

Well that’s what he gets for shucking and jiving for Massa. And to think folks tried to clown Monique for having a backbone lol.

      • Jasmine May 11, 2019

@SMH Yes indeed! I stopped watching his show after he coooned for TRUMP. It is okay to vote for whomever you want but to publicly coooooon for a known racist makes me lose respect for you. You would NEVER see Michael Jordan or Jay-Z or Diddy coooning for massa.

Damn they really got they tongue up Kelly Clarkson’s ass.
I feel like Fantasia need to be demanding more respect!
Because when I think of Kelly I think of Fantasia more than Carrie Underwood.
But we know who people want to put their money behind.

      Very true! The white folks

    • Sky May 11, 2019

Fantasia had a TV show before Kelly even considered doing TV. Let’s not act like Fantasia has not been given chances

His ratings are good. So what is the point of his show being canceled?

Here is an article that explains the real reason why his show was cancelled. NBC hates to see a black man succeed financially. This issue for NBC began with his new deal in 2016 for more money and creative control.

After his initial five-year deal with Endemol ended, Harvey in 2016 opted to cut a deal with IMG Original Content to produce a new version of the show, renamed “Steve,” that relocated to Los Angeles starting with season six in fall 2017. The new show put more emphasis on celebrity guests and comedic segments. IMG offered Harvey a much larger ownership stake in the show, a higher salary and more creative control over the production. The deal commanded attention in the industry because IMG is a corporate sibling of WME, which represents Harvey, raising the specter of conflict of interest as IMG became Harvey’s production partner.

NBCUniversal executives were furious at losing their stake in Harvey’s show after the transition to IMG, even though it remained the distributor of “Steve.” The new version of the show also remained in its time slots on the NBC O&Os in crucial major markets, but it was no surprise when NBC moved to develop a high-profile new show to replace “Steve.”

    *In my Monique voice

It was a good show, but yeah, if I didn’t think he was a sellout when he tried to get his own homeboy fired from a movie so he could take his role, or when he went to go dance & clown for Mr. Trump, or when he told Monique she should just be quiet & take it, I know for sure he is a sellout & for that Mr. Harvey you got no respect from me. Bye Felicia
