Birdman‘s bank, Citibank, has been pulled into the middle of his feud with one of the mogul’s ex-employees.
Details below…
Birdman was ordered to pay Nicholas Jose Penzo $1 million following an intense legal battle over work Penzo did for him as his property manager.
Alas, when Penzo tried to collect the money he was owed he was told that Birdman had closed all of his bank accounts in an alleged attempt to stop him from getting hold of the money.
Now, Citibank has been hit with subpoenas designed to force them to force Birdman to cough up the cash.
In newly filed documents, Citibank claims to not have any of Birdman’s cash. They point to him closing several accounts in August. The docs state, “Citibank has no tangible or intangible personal property of the Defendants.
He is said to have closed all seven of his accounts.
I have suffered back pain due to the immense amount of work the Defendant required me to do. I was without work for approximately one year, suffered financially, physically, and emotionally because of the position the Defendant left me in, and therefore feel I am entitled to $1,000,000 in compensatory damages.
