Beyonce Covers ELLE / Talks Ivy Park, Body, Business, & Pregnancy Rumors

Published: Monday 9th Dec 2019 by Sam

Beyonce is back and has staged a takeover of ELLE Magazine!

Queen Bey has taken residence a-front of all issues of the publication’s January 2020 edition – US, UK, Canada, and beyond.

The spread, lensed by longtime friend Melina Matsoukas, arrives in tandem with the announcement of Ivy Park x Adidas‘ release date.

Beyond rocking the line, music’s reigning royal took part in a unique interview comprised of social media questions.

And no, it’s not comprised of generic “what are your favorite color” probes.

Instead, she seizes the feature to waxe honest about motherhood, miscarriages, private hardships, weight, and pregnancy rumors. She also touches on promo and the whereabouts of some of your favorite tour DVDs.

Head below for pics and quotes….

Q: I connected with Lemonade and I almost passed out when I saw Homecoming. You brought it and made me want to stand up and scream your name!! What’s up with the people who give out the awards? Were you disappointed not winning? Because, you know, you already won with me – via Instagram

BEYONCÉ: ?? I began to search for deeper meaning when life began to teach me lessons I didn’t know I needed. Success looks different to me now. I learned that all pain and loss is in fact a gift. Having miscarriages taught me that I had to mother myself before I could be a mother to someone else. Then I had Blue, and the quest for my purpose became so much deeper. I died and was reborn in my relationship, and the quest for self became even stronger. It’s difficult for me to go backwards. Being ‘number one’ was no longer my priority. My true win is creating art and a legacy that will live far beyond me. That’s fulfilling.

Q: What Stresses You Out The Most?

I think the most stressful thing for me is balancing work and life. Making sure I am present for my kids – dropping Blue off at school, taking Rumi and Sir to their activities, making time for date nights with my husband and being home in time to have dinner with my family – all while running a company can be challenging. Juggling all of those roles can be stressful, but I think that’s life for any working mom.

Q: Everybody’s weight fluctuates. How does it make you feel when people are constantly commenting on your appearance? – via Instagram

BEYONCÉ: If someone told me 15 years ago that my body would go through so many changes and fluctuations, and that I would feel more womanly and secure with my curves, I would not have believed them. But children and maturity have taught me to value myself beyond my physical appearance and really understand that I am more than enough no matter what stage I’m at in life. Giving zero ?s is the most liberating place to be. Also knowing true beauty is something you cannot see. I wish more people focused on discovering the beauty within themselves rather than critiquing other folks’ grills.

Q: Where Is The Formation Tour DVD?
Years ago, I asked Prince to record my rehearsal with him for our Grammys performance. He said, ‘You don’t need to record that. You own that in your mind.’ Haaaaaaa! Prince always knew best! So, you can always watch the Formation World Tour in your mind; you own that! ?

Q: What is your work process like? Where do you start? Where do you get your ideas? – via email

BEYONCÉ: With new projects, I get my team together for a prayer. I make sure we are all clear on the intention and what the deeper meaning is. I do my best, and I try to push everyone around me to do the same. I eventually give everything I have. When it’s released to the world, I let it go because it is no longer mine.

Q: After 25 years in the game, how do you not lose yourself? – via email

BEYONCÉ: The predictable rock star DNA is a myth. I believe you don’t have to accept dysfunction to be successful. This is not to say that I have not struggled. I have the same pain that life brings to everyone else. I try to shift the stigma that says with fame there has to be drama. It is how you relate to your hardships and use that to evolve. And I try to keep real ones around me.

WHAT QUESTION DO YOU HATE TO ANSWER?

‘Are you pregnant?’

Get off my ovaries!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE WORD? LEAST FAVOURITE?

Favourite: Y’all.

Least favourite: Promotion. HA!!!

Your thoughts?

For some reason her expression in these covers isn’t doing it for me

    • Gworl Bye December 9, 2019

Thats because she’s not a fashion Icon, she just thinks she is. Big difference lol.

  2. Clarksooon December 9, 2019

I like her hair style here. Im going to get my hair done like Bey. Just sew in some weave braids. Chris Brown had the same style earlier this year with shorter weave braids.

    • Gworl Bye December 9, 2019

Rihanna did this five years ago hon.

      • Clarksooon December 9, 2019

And? What does that have to do with me? I like Rihanna but its hard to keep Up or remember her ever changing hairstyles

  3. Free December 9, 2019

    Normani take note.

Beyonce is on the cover of a magazine cause she has something to promote

Normani u have been on the cover of 3 different magazines and u had nothing to promote. No new song, no new collab, no new video, nothing.
Instead all u talked about in the magazines was how u got stamp of approval from beyonce and how ur the new beyonce.

    • only facts December 9, 2019

And Camila has an album out and ZERO magazine covers. Your point? Also, your fave isn’t even #1 on the albums chart, and has no songs in the top 20. Embarrassing.

      • Clarks0oñ December 9, 2019

My faves was on time magazine.

Romance is still the number one album world wide
Romance hit number one in 50 countries on itunes

I dont think u need me to list all the achievements of this album.

Everybody is releasing something, except normani who is comfortable being a personality/ model.

And by the way, dancing with a stranger, is not normani song

Sam Smith and normani were booked to perform at the jingle ball event and normani added dancing with a stranger to her set list, sam Smith team told her to remove it cause sam smith wanted to perform it.

That’s why normani looked upset and unfocused during her performance
        ?????????????

      • Clarksooon December 9, 2019

Camila is the number one female album on the charts. She has been in the top 20 most of this year. Queen Canils is slaying your favs and u mad about it ???????

      • Clarks0oñ December 9, 2019

        2. reputation (6 mins)
        3. Queen (6 mins)
        4. Sweetener (8 mins)
        5. WWAFA,WDWG? (10 mins)
        6. Witness (10 mins)

Ariana and Camila charting twice ??

      • Gworl Bye December 9, 2019

Lol girl stop, camila is flopping, being ended by a Disney soundtrack. Denial isn’t cute hon.

      • Clarksooon December 9, 2019

Sis Camila is the number 1 female album. U tried it ????‍????

      • Gworl Bye December 9, 2019

Sis, tinashe and beyonce were all the #1 female albums. You tried and failed sis.

  5. only facts December 9, 2019

No shade, but didn’t Rihanna do these hairstyles during her anti era? Just a tad shorter length?

    • Clarksooon December 9, 2019

She did but Camila would look better in this style. Beyonve looks lifeless and her team writing ✍️ statements to make her sound deep does not correlate with the immature lyrics in her songs. I dont find Formation, Sorry, Blow, Partition, etc to be deep

      • Gworl Bye December 9, 2019

        camila who?

      • Clarksooon December 9, 2019

Grammy Award winning songstress Camila Cabello.

        – 5th Harmony could never get a grammy
-Normani could never get a hit song or a grammy. She is a new TinashaFLOP.

      • Gworl Bye December 9, 2019

I’ll repeat the question, camila who?

      • only facts December 9, 2019

LATIN Grammy winner, b*tch. Let’s not act like she won a REAL Grammy.

      • Clarks0oñ December 9, 2019

Glad you’ve stop arguing with me.

Go argue with the Clarkson troll

  13. High Price December 9, 2019

Idk! Reading her responses to questions in interviews is so hard to believe that she’d respond like that. I know we really don’t know her but I just can’t imagine it. ? “Get off my ovaries” and “giving zero f****” ? lol. Ok Bey…??

  14. TM December 9, 2019

Get it B. She is in her own lane like everybody else, stop comparing it’s no need to do that. Everybody got they own success. Let’s grow up here.
