Will Smith Slavery Movie Bags $75 Million Dollar Offers

Will Smith‘s ‘Emancipation‘ is faring very well as Cannes.

Full story below…

Smith and Antoine Fuqua have teamed up to build a movie set to explore the life of a man born into African chattel slavery and decides to emancipate himself from its horrors.

The outbreak of COVID-19 meant that investors were unable to travel to Cannes to negotiate deals with creators so organisers launched a virtual film festival to ensure the show could go on.

Now, Smith has learned that Warner Bros, Apple, MGM, Apple and Lionsgate are among the studios bidding to bag the move rights to the story and that the war to win it now sings to the tune of $75 million.

Any company hoping to secure the project will have to top that figure (and proposed offers from rivals) to do so.

Perhaps fuelling the fervour?

The global discussion on race and anti-blackness currently taking place following the murders of several African-American civilians within the last few weeks.

        “Black people weren’t just slaves.”

And who said black people were just slaves?
People who were slaves need to be remember and immortalized and their stories need to be told.

U see the problem with people like u?
        An unintelligent maggot.

If we’re not going to the truth about slavery AND share cropping then keep it, its getting old and each time its less and less truthful. And I’m northern real counties and country prisons, slavery is still very much alive.
