It’s been nearly 20 years since Americans were first introduced to the popular catch phrase, “You are the weakest link…goodbye.”
However, thanks to a recent announcement from the good folks at NBC, viewers are about to get reacquainted with the popular early 2000’s game show, ‘The Weakest Link.’

“NBC announced today that has ordered a new version of the iconic game show “The Weakest Link.” In addition to executive producing, Jane Lynch will host the primetime revival. NBC has not yet announced a premiere date, but it has begun casting for the show new show. It has also announced a thirteen-episode order.”
Speaking to the press about the revamp, the EMMY-award winner expressed her elation.
“I’ve been a longtime fan of this game-changing quiz show since it first debuted,” said Lynch. “Each time the phrase ‘You are the Weakest Link. Goodbye.’ passes my lips, it will be with great reverence and delight.”
Meredith Ahr, President of Alternative and Reality Group for NBC Entertainment, echoed the sentiment.
“‘Weakest Link’ became an instant fan-favorite when it first aired on our network, and we are excited to bring a fresh, new take to the timeless format,” said Ahr. “Jane Lynch has been a beloved staple in our NBC family for years, and her sharp wit and engaging personality will be the perfect match for this highly entertaining game show.”
Lynch, no stranger to hosting game shows, also hosts NBC’s ‘Hollywood Game Night,’ which has earned her two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality Host.

I watched the show from the UK to the French version and, judging by the US pick, still don’t know why the host gotta be a c****?!?
