The Lena Waithe created series, ‘The Chi,’ is coming back for a fourth season!

The hit show has gained a loyal army of fans since it’s premiere in January of 2018.
Billed as a coming of age story in the South Side of Chicago, the series has been showered with praise by its housing network’s President, Gary Waithe, for its depiction of “the joys and the heartbreak of life on the South Side in a way that is unique on television.”.
The show is created and executive produced by Lena Waithe, who became the first black woman to win an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series’ in 2017 as well as producing the movie ‘Queen and Slim.’
She says of the new season order:
“This show has definitely taken me on a journey. One of learning, healing, and growth. I didn’t know how this season would be received, but the level of engagement and enthusiasm from the fans has been fantastic. I still can’t believe our numbers are up by double digits! The Chi is a team effort, and I’m grateful to continue this journey with such an amazing group of people.”

no it wasn’t it was a good ride to see the young folk come of age and the old folk hold them up was good.
