Sharon Osbourne Insists “I’m Not Racist” In New Sit-Down Interview Addressing ‘The Talk’ Race Row

Published: Wednesday 17th Mar 2021 by Sam

Sharon Osbourne may have apologized to the Black community for her shocking tirade on ‘The Talk’ last week, but she’s doubling down on her belief that she was “blindsided” by her co-hosts.

And now she’s even alleging the network had a hand in what she presents as “unfair” treatment.

Full story below…

In a new sit-down interview with Entertainment Tonight, Osbourne re-asserts she was purposefully “set up” after publicly supporting Piers Morgan who “left” Good Morning Britain amidst furore aimed his way for dismissing Meghan Markle‘s claims of racism and suicidal thoughts.

Speaking with Kevin Fraizer, the 68-year-old said while she doesn’t agree with Morgan she does agree with this “right” to “freedom of speech.”

She goes on to stress that she’s left messages for co-host Sheryl Underwood (who, during her rant, she commanded not to cry). Those calls have not been answered.

Osbourne also explains that she isn’t sure there’s a future for her at the show given the extent of the fall-out – which now includes damning weigh-ins from former co-hosts Holly Robinson Pete and Leah Remini, who both allege racially charged language was used by the star.

‘The Talks’ remains on an extended hiatus pending the outcoming of a CBS investigation.

It’s the lack of accountability that irks the most.

As a veteran in the TV sphere, Sharon will have been well-versed in how this goes – including the possibility and high probability for spontaneity.

Central to understanding is that being “set up” is not even the core issue here.

She is presenting very problematic views as “freedom of speech” and self-victimizing after being taken to task.

Again, racism isn’t (just) name-calling, it also is the blanket dismissal of accounts from those voicing their ill-treatment.
