TMZ reports that the revered star – renowned for her role as Rose Nylund on ‘The Golden Girls’ – passed away at her home today (December 31).
White’s death comes just weeks before her milestone 100th birthday, which would have been on January 17.
A seismic force in Hollywood, the actress earned the honor of becoming the woman with the longest on-screen career in show business. Indeed, she starred in multiple TV shows across 8 decades – with the first being in 1939.
It goes without saying that White left a major mark and will be sorely missed.
