Regina Hall returns to movie screens in ‘Master.’

Serving as the debut offering from director-writer Mariama Diallo, the film chronicles the narrative of three women striving to find their place at a prestigious New England university whose rigid elitism may be hiding something much more sinister.

Hall stars as Professor Gail Bishop, who has become the first Black woman to be promoted to the position of ‘Master’ of a residence hall.

Armed with a determination to usher in positive change, a series of events sees Gail confronted with the shocking prospect of the school possibly being haunted in a way few could ever have imagined.

Currently screening at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, ‘Master’ – which also stars Zoe Renee and Amber Gray, arrives on Amazon‘s Prime Video on March 18.

Regina is renowned for her versatility. So, while comedy has long been her mainstay, we’re all sorts of buzzed for what’s to come with this dramatic role.

I was happy to see a test screening of this 5 or 6 months ago and I gave a ton of feedback because I want the movie to work. I’ll be interested to see what parts of it they retooled.
