The girls of ‘Harlem’ – Camille, Tye, Quinn and Angie – are getting set to bring yet another-go-round of love, laughter, drama, sexiness, and everything in between as reports have surfaced the breakout Amazon Prime series has been renewed for another season.

The Tracy Oliver-created dramedy – which stars Meagan Good, Tyler Lepley, Jerrie Johnson, Grace Byers, and Shoniqua Shandai – premiered in December to critical acclaim, quickly becoming one of the streamer’s “must-see” original offerings.

Lauded for its rounded representation of Black women in several different spaces from community (LGBTQ+) to business, academia, and more, the show earned thumbs up from many-a-fan for its refreshing take on the challenges of life for 30-something-year-old women of color.

Oliver celebrated the renewal news via an official statement.

“When I walked into a bar in Harlem and overheard folks excitedly discussing the show, I knew we had a hit,” said Oliver. “’Harlem’ has resonated with so many people, and I’m beyond grateful to Amazon for giving it a second season. Most of all, I’m excited to reunite with the beautiful cast.”

The sentiment was echoed by Vernon Sanders, head of global television at Amazon Studios.

“Culturally relevant, critically acclaimed and hysterical, Harlem and Tracy Oliver accomplished something very special with the first season of this show,” said Sanders. “Tackling real-life strife with levity and laughs, the show means so much to our global Prime Video customers and perfectly fits the types of stories we aim to tell. We look forward to following the Season 2 journey of Camille, Quinn, Angie and Tye and giving fans more reasons to laugh out loud as they cheer on these four dynamic Black women doing it their way.”

As of time reported, no official release date is attached to the sophomore season.
