Wendy Williams‘ health problems may spell the end of her reign on daytime TV, according to a new report.

Citing sources close to the developments behind the scenes, Variety reports that the media maven will not be returning to her own show this season.
As extensively covered here on That Grape Juice, Williams’ comeback has been delayed several times while she’s battled health issues.
Now, sources are saying that guest anchor Sherri Shepherd is being lined up as a permanent host of the daytime talker for the rest of the current 13th season. This would be in place of the revolving door of names that have stepped in to fill Williams’ vacant purple chair.
What’s more, TV veteran Shepperd is said t be in “advanced talks” with the production company about fronting her own show.
Here’s where it gets…well…juicy.
Producers are said to be welcoming of a possible Williams return and, as of writing Shepherd’s proposed show would be its own entity – not a titular replacement for the current Wendy series.
Yet, at the same time, should Shepherd’s talker be greenlit and Williams not return, it’s believed the new show will air in the current timeslot. So, take from that what you will.
