And recent years has seen the format expand to international regions.
Nigeria is the latest to join the mix, with the hotly anticipated launch of ‘The Real Housewives of Lagos.’
Set to launch April 8 on Showmax, the series invites viewers to follow the opulent lives of six glamorous Lagosian ladies.
Serving fashion, luxury, power plays, and of course drama, the show promises to deliver the flair the franchise is renowned for with its own Naija twist.
The cast featured are Carolyna Hutchings, Laura Ikeji, Chioma Ikokwu, Toyin Lawani-Adebayo, Iyabo Ojo, and Mariam Timmer.

This leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Another set of women looking down on others until their true financial business is exposed. These women are bleached out and looks more European in a very unnatural way. Why do they hide their natural beauty? I think they could’ve done a better job at selecting Lagosian women who represent the African culture.
