Whitney Houston‘s story is well-treaded terrain – both during the legend’s life and following her 2012 passing.
However, a new big-screen biopic, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody,’ sets out to serve as the most seismic and most definitive take on a narrative like no other.
Helmed by Sony’s TriStar, the film is directed by Kasi Lemons and is written and produced by Anthony McCarten – who helmed Oscar winner ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ (the blockbuster biopic about Queen). Furthermore, with Houston’s Estate and longtime collaborator Clive Davis in the mix, the flick will feature her iconic music too.
More than anything, the attention of the masses is on the actress stepping into the role of The Voice.
With that recently confirmed to be Naomi Ackie, folk have received their first look at her as Whitney in the freshly unwrapped official poster for ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody.’

‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody,’ which promises to be both a raw and unvarnished account of Houston’s life, hits theaters in the US on December 21 and December 23 in the UK.

Beys version of I will Always Love You before going into Halo is far better than Whitneys miserable interpretation. Bey has a 4 Octave Vocal Range so of course.
Mariah also sings better than Whitney with 5 OCTAVES and Mariah also needs a Biopic before Whiney.
