Elaborating on a story first reported by The Kempire and citing courses close to the couple, B. Scott confirms that Ashley has filed for legal separation from Michael in the state of Virginia.

The move is mandated as a preceding step to divorce, which can only occur uncontested once the couple is separated for a period of a year.

News of the break-up comes ahead of season 7 of the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac,’ which is filming and is set to air later this year.
