After thrilling audiences in 2020 with its inaugural season led by Xosha Roquemore and Alano Miller, Ava Duvernay‘s anthological romantic drama is finally back to kick off its sophomore run.
Set for premiere October 4 on OWN, this season is led by Joy Bryant and Henry Simmons but also stars familiar faces Richard Roundtree and Terri J. Vaughn.
According to the official plot description, season 2 will see “the rekindling of a romance told — the love story of Ellis Moran (Henry Simmons) and Sunday St. James (Joy Bryant), who fell in love in high school but find themselves reunited in beautiful New Orleans. Ellis is a former basketball player who is now a single father of two, and Sunday is a vegetarian celebrity chef on the cusp of fame.”
