Lifetime has announced the third and concluding installment of its ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ series.
Full story below…
Christened ‘Surviving R. Kelly: The Final Chapter,’ the two-night event airs on January 2 and 3 at 9pm ET/PT and centers on the fallout of the disgraced singer’s crimes as he serves consecutive sentences and awaits further federal and state trials.
As extensively covered, the original documentary not only bagged awards and nominations, it crucially led to the series of events that resulted in Kelly’s conviction on multiple counts of sexual abuse.
Per Lifetime, night one chronicles Angelo Clary’s recount of Azriel Clary’s journey as it’s uncovered that she was instructed to lie in the now-infamous R. Kelly interview with Gayle King. The family also unpacks the intimidation tactics employed by supporters of the singer, while legal experts and journalists weigh in on the racketeering charges Kelly is facing.
Night two will center on Jane Doe #1 and the revelation of male accusers (John Does) who take the stand as new survivors.
Overall, The Final Chapter’ will feature over 60 voices and testimonials.
News of the conclusion of the documentary series follows the surprise release (and subsequent removal) of a “new” R. Kelly album

Money Grab….
I was scrolling and thought this was another year-in-review post at first. Part I of this documentary was enough. Part III is just taking pleasure in being cruel. He’s gonna end up getting more sympathy because Lifetime doesn’t know when to stop exploiting traumatic experiences.
He’s not innocent of course but I don’t believe the part about “male victims” 💁
