Ahead of its highly anticipated season 5B return to TV this month, the ‘Grown-ish’ kids of Cal U received news the show passed yet another ratings test and will be coming back for a season 6 on Freeform.

The “Black-ish” spinoff, which stars Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, singer-actor Trevor Jackson, rapper-actor Diggy Simmons, and others continues to serve as a flagship series for its home network – a status that aided its renewal.
What’s particularly unique is the season six comeback will likely see ‘Grown-ish’ cross the 100-episode mark, an extremely rare feat at Freeform/ABC Family.
At writing, no official premiere date is attached to the next season’s kickoff date.
