In 2022, Mo’Nique and Lee Daniels shocked their respective fans when they not only called a truce in their 13-year feud but also announced they were hard at work on a reunion project for Netflix.
That film is apparently one of many the reconciled dynamic duo have up their sleeves as BET+ has dropped the trailer for ‘The Reading’ – a psychological thriller that sees Mo portray a widow who battles demonic possession after staging a psychic reading.
Produced by Daniels and serving as the directorial debut of Courtney Glaudé, the movie stars a slew of familiar faces like Chasity Sereal, Denisha Hardeman, Ian Haywood, Charnele Brown, and more.
“I am a fan of the surgical performance by Mo’Nique,” shared Glaudé. “I appreciate the dedication to bringing this, as I was told, ‘sick’ vision of mine to the screen; and of course Lee Daniels for being crazy enough to Executive Produce the project and believing in me. I can’t wait for the audience to think they know, but have no idea what’s going to happen. I promise you…it’s crazy.”

Not a fan of cheesy Horror films.
It doesn’t look necessarily cheesy to me, but at some point-especially when in touch with one’s spiritualty-we have to question Hollywood’s obsession with this subject matter and why is it always portrayed in this way??? As I’ve become older and wiser, out of respect for the Spiritual realm, I refrain from engaging in this type “entertainment”. I guess I’m waiting for the next Jordan Peele movie to drop…
