Axed ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta’ star Erica Mena is expressing regret for the shocking comments that saw her fired from the hit reality show.
As reported, the 35-year-old stunned viewers when scenes of her calling castmate Spice a “monkey” aired.
Enraged and unbridled, Mena went on to wish death upon the Queen of Dancehall during the heated argument that stemmed from a fallout regarding her ex Safaree Samuels.
Now, amidst this drama and more (including an arrest for disorderly conduct), Mena is addressing the situation.

In a statement issued to TMZ, Mena said:
“I deeply regret my insensitive comment and want to humbly apologize to anybody I hurt or offended by my thoughtlessness. My choice of words was wrong, and I take full responsibility for what I said.
I am committed to listening to the voices of those affected and will work toward making amends. As a woman of color and the mother of two black children, I want to make it clear that my use of that word was not in any way racially driven.
That said, I do understand the gravity of what I said and want to use my platform to promote inclusivity and equality.”

Nah seriously though I’m glad she apologized but I still feel some type of way. I really liked Erica but she took it really far with those comments. I think she’d have to walk out hand in hand with spice plus address the other times she referred to blk women as monkeys. She only works with blk ppl and blk productions so this will be hard for her to get over.
Erica get no sympathy from me, knowing how she is ,she’s a horrible person with some real life issues that need to be addressed. Now her children I do feel sorry for them. Back to court she will go because how will she keep up her lifestyle being fired from both jobs .

Nothing humble about this non genuine apology. The main person you hurt was Spice and you should have said her name. Secondly the comment was ONLY racially driven wtf are you talking about. Fly home bird 😂
