The sudden death of ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry shocked the world and has brought with it an outpouring of emotion from fans and his peers alike.
As reported, the star – who played Chandler Bing on the game-changing series – was found drowned in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home on October 28. He was 54.
Though Perry enjoyed great success across TV and film after ‘Friends,’ the show – which is still a firm fixture on screens worldwide – remains his most celebrated work. A reality that is the case for the entire cast.
That unique bond is one that co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer collectively reflect on in their first statement addressing Perry’s passing.

In a statement to PEOPLE, the surviving ‘Friends’ cast said:
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.
In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
Our thoughts remain with Perry’s loved ones.
