After delivering an astounding performance in 2023’s critically acclaimed ‘The Holdovers,’ starlet Da’Vine Joy Randolph left the 81st annual Golden Globes holding one of its coveted trophies.

Battling Emily Blunt, Danielle Brooks, Jodie Foster, Julianne Moore, and Rosamund Pike for the honor, Randolph not only emerged the victor at the award show’s 2024 ceremony on Sunday night (January 7) but was presented the statuette by previous winner Angela Bassett (alongside Jared Leto).

Since its inception, only 8 Black women have taken home the Best Performance by An Actress in a Supporting Role Golden Globe: Whoopi Goldberg, Jennifer Hudson, Viola Davis, Mo’Nique, Octavia Spencer, Ariana DeBose, Regina King, and Bassett.

Randolph makes 9.
