Already a Daytime EMMY winner, Niecy Nash-Betts earned yet another toast to her nearly 30-year career on Monday night (January 15) when she collected her first Primetime EMMY for her outstanding performance as “Glenda” in Netflix’s ‘Monster: the Jeffrey Dahmer Story.’

Defeating Annaleigh Ashford, Merritt Wever, Juliette Lewis, Camila Morrone, Claire Danes, and Maria Bello, Nash-Betts captured the coveted Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
Since its inception, the award has been bestowed to 39 actresses.
With her 2024 win, Niecy became the seventh and followed legendary names like Ruby Dee, Olivia Cole, Regina King, Esther Rolle, Uzo Aduba, and Cicely Tyson.
