Shannon Sharpe set the internet ablaze – albeit accidentally – when he began broadcasting on Instagram Live while getting intimate.
While nothing was visible, the audio from the social media “sex tape” went all sorts of viral.
At the time, the Club Shay Shay host claimed to have been “hacked.”
However, he is now fessing up to the truth.

Speaking on the Night Cap show with Ocho Cinco, Sharpe admitted that he was indeed on the audio – which was available to his 3 million followers and more. He stressed that it was an accident.
Waxing candid, Sharpe explained:
“I came in, I threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity. I did not know IG Live. I’ve never been on IG Live, I’ve never turned IG Live on, so I don’t know how it works.”
Sharing how he felt when he became aware of the snafu, the 56-year-old said:
“My heart sank. I called my agent, I called the agency, I called ESPN and I [thought] just tell them the truth. My phone wasn’t hacked, it wasn’t a prank, it was me being a healthy, active male.”
[I] very disappointed in myself and let a lot of people down. Obviousy, I’m embarrassed. [I’m] someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details be audio heard for the entire world to hear, I’m embarrassed”
