Marlon Wayans has a busy 2025 loading, and his fans couldn’t be more excited.

Barely three months after sending ‘Scary Movie‘ lovers into a frenzy that he and legendary his brothers are set to return to the franchise for a new installment, Marlon has lifted the lid on news that parodic flick isn’t the only one in their prized filmography getting a new edition.

The featured guest on a recent episode of ‘Big Boy TV,’ the actor-comic unzipped a report that 1996’s classic ‘Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood’ will be getting a long-awaited follow-up.

“I’m gonna do a sequel to that,” he revealed at the 8:37 mark of the clip above. “We’re gonna take all our movies and do sequels. People need comedy.”

The reveal came amid a conversation about the forthcoming ‘Scary Movie 6’ – the film’s highly anticipated new installment due in 2026.

“The way it was done last time, it wasn’t the right way,” Wayans said. “But regimes change. It’s still the same company, but now it’s completely different—owned by somebody new, with a completely different CEO. We’ve got a great working relationship, and we’re gonna make a classic.”

At writing, Marlon has not announced a tentative release date for the ‘Menace’ sequel.

One of the 90’s most celebrated comedies of its category, the movie – which spoofed the day’s biggest Black films like ‘Menace II Society,’ ‘Juice,’ ‘Boyz n the Hood,’ and more – raked in a cool $20 million at the box office in 1996.

I’m gonna wait for more details before jumping to a conclusion on this. My initial thoughts were it’s an outdated idea, but maybe they will come up with an updated twist. We’ll see. He’s right about comedy being needed, but so much has changed since those movies came out. They will new ideas to make this work.
