Fresh off the box office success of ‘Wicked,’ where she captivated audiences as Elphaba, the multi-talented star will take over the hosting duties from three-year-long host Ariana DeBose.
Erivo won a Tony award in 2016 for best actress in the Broadway musical ‘The Color Purple’ she is now on the brink of EGOT status with an Emmy and Grammy also under her belt.
Speaking on the gig, Erivo gushed:
“I am so proud and excited to take on this glorious honor. I hope I can rise to the occasion.”
The ceremony will return to Radio City Music Hall on June 8, airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. With Erivo at the helm, expect a night of dazzling performances, big wins, and unforgettable moments.
