‘Mickey 17’ has the masses buzzing!
The seismic Sci-Fi flick, which is anchored by Robert Pattinson and directed by Bong Joon-ho, relays the compelling tale of what happens when a scientific glitch spotlights what it means to be…alive.
Serving as an adaptation of the Sci-Fi novel ‘Mickey7’ by Edward Ashton, the movie chronicles the story of Mickey Barnes (the titular character played by Pattinson).
Billed as an “expendable,” he functions as a disposable employee on a human voyage sent to colonize the icy world of Niflheim.
Taking on several dangerous tasks, his body regenerates itself (with memories intact) as – by design and assignment – he is not expected to survive each activity.
Yet, the story takes a rivetting turn when Mickey 17 is erroneously presumed deceased and meets his replacement Mickey 18. The problem? Two versions of the same being are not permitted to exist at the same time.
Ahead of its March 7 theatrical release, That Grape Juice sat down with the film’s stars Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, and Toni Collette who opened up in earnest about creating ‘Mickey 17.’
