Fans of the ‘Friday’ franchise, rejoice – it’s finally happening! After years of rumors and delays, New Line Cinema is bringing the beloved hood comedy back for one last ride. And Ice Cube is in the mix.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, New Line’s president Richard Brener confirmed:
“We are making another ‘Friday’.”
Brener added:
“We just closed a deal with Ice Cube to write and star. It’s going to be called ‘Last Friday’.”
Per the report, the working title is ‘Last Friday.’
Mike Epps, who starred in the second and third films, spilled even more tea last month on The Breakfast Club:
“[Cube] called me the other day, said we just finished the deal. We’re gonna bring in the new comics…the DC Young Flys and all of them in with the OGs. It’s going to be a good a*s time.”
No release date yet – but best believe we’re watching! Will you?
