Shannon Sharpe has settled the rape lawsuit filed against him by a Jane Doe.

The sportsman turned anchor turned Pop culture pillar stood accused of sexually assaulting the woman over a prolonged period.
As reported, Sharpe was adamant about his innocence and insisted the woman in question begged him to “put a dog collar around her neck” during encounters. All of which the 57-year-old said was consensual.
He made many statements centralizing the alleged falsehood of the claims (calling them “false and disruptive”), even when word of a $10 settlement attempt became public knowledge.
Now, Tony Buzbee, the attorney for the Jane Doe, has confirmed that the matter has been settled and thus both parties agree that the legal filing be dismissed “with prejudice,” which means it cannot be filed again.
The statement read:
“On April 20, 2025, The Buzbee Law Firm filed a complaint in Nevada making several allegations against Shannon Sharpe on behalf of our client. Both sides acknowledge a long-term consensual and tumultuous relationship. After protracted and respectful negotiations, I’m pleased to announce that we have reached a mutually agreed upon resolution. All matters have now been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed. The lawsuit will thus be dismissed with prejudice.”
