Jennifer Lopez is opening up about her split from Ben Affleck and says it turned out to be the ultimate blessing.

Speaking to ‘CBS Sunday Morning,’ the 56-year-old superstar reflected on filing for divorce in August 2024 and finalizing it this January, calling it “the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Lopez admitted that the breakup “was a really tough time,” especially while working on her passion project – the forthcoming ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’ which Affleck helped produce through Artist Equity.
‘The movie wouldn’t have been made if it wasn’t for him and Artist Equity, I will always give him credit for that. I told him this was the role I was born to play and I wanted to do it and he was like, ‘Okay.’ And, he helped make it happen,” she said.
J.Lo also revealed she’s had “probably the best summer” of her life since the divorce, embracing self-awareness, fun, and freedom.
With her new outlook and a hotly anticipated film under her belt, Lopez is proving that even heartbreak can spark a powerful new chapter.
