Kimora Lee Simmons is setting the record straight after her recent comments about co-parenting with ex-husband Russell Simmons sparked a heated response.

During a candid interview to promote her new E! show earlier this month, the fashion mogul revealed that she is now the primary parent to their children, noting that they live with her full-time and that maintaining stability has required strength and self-reliance.
Russell didn’t take the remarks lightly. The music executive took to Threads to air out his grievances, claiming he financially supported his ex-wife for decades and accusing her of cutting him off from his children. He wrote:
“I gave u 50,000 a month for 20 years, I was ur best /only friend. I’m the godfather to your other 3 kids, until one day you stole my stock. I have been fighting for my kids love and my bread ever since. You threatened that if I sued you, I would never speak to my kids again. There are two sides to every story.”
He also reignited long-standing allegations involving stolen shares, insisting there’s more to the story than meets the eye.
Lee-Simmons quickly clapped back on Instagram, dismissing his claims as false and urging him to address his own legal issues, she said:
“My ‘girls’ are GROWN WOMEN. You know these are lies. Why are you typing from thousands of miles away in a non extradition country? Go negotiate and Answer your Accusers.”
Russell was accused of rape and sexual assault in 2017 and has received lawsuits from accusers.
