The ‘Mortal Kombat’ tournament is about to begin!
As Warner Bros. has released the extended trailer for ‘Mortal Kombat II’, we’re getting a better glimpse at the showdowns and fighters this time around – five years after its predecessors fought its way to critical and commercial acclaim.

In the sequel, viewers appear to finally be getting into the long awaited tournament where Earth’s fighters are battling for the planet against the Outworld Emperor Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford) and his band of notable ‘Mortal Kombat’ villains like Baraka, Sindel, and Quan Chi.
As highly anticipated, we get a better look at Kitana (Adeline Rudolph) and Jade (Tati Gabrielle), who are the additional new additions to the movie franchise of the beloved video game.
Joining them is Karl Urban, who takes on the role of Johnny Cage, a washed-up Hollywood action star who is serving as the unlikely anchor for Earth’s survival.
Returning cast includes Tadanobu Asano (Lord Raiden), Mehcad Brooks (Jackson “Jax” Briggs), Ludi Lin (Liu Kang), Jessica McNamee (Sonya Blade), Joe Taslim (Sub-Zero/Noob Saibot), and Hiroyuki Sanada (Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion).
