Skai Jackson has sparked controversy after comments about children she encountered in Kenya left many across social media taken aback.
The former Disney star shared the story while chatting with UK creator Ysabella Grace during Kai Cenat’s ‘Streamer University’. What appeared intended as a reflection on gratitude and body image instead ignited criticism over how the country was portrayed.

In the circulating clip, Jackson said she learned that mirrors were costly during her visit and claimed some children consequently did not know what they looked like.
“Of course, it’s unfortunate that they can’t afford mirrors, but at least they’re not insecure about themselves.”
