Helmed by ‘Kill‘ director Nikhil Bhat, the film centers on grieving former Marine whose jury duty takes a dramatic turn when a high-profile courtroom trial erupts into a dangerous hostage crisis.
Forced back into combat mode, he must stop the chaos before it spirals out of control.
Penned by Eric Scot Anderson and Matt Takejiro Bosack, ‘Deadlocked’ boasts a producing team that includes Foxx through his Foxxhole Productions banner.
The announcement adds to busy chapter for Foxx whose recent Netflix hit ‘Back in Action‘ became one of the streamer’s biggest film launches in recent years.
He is also set to star in the upcoming boxing drama ‘Fight for ’84,’ while continuing as host and executive producer of FOX’s ‘Beat Shazam.’
‘Deadlocked’ will premiere on Prime Video. At writing, however, no official release date for the flick has been announced.
