Zendaya is heading back into sci-fi territory for an exciting new project with filmmaker Alex Garland.

The actress has signed on to star in an untitled science fiction feature written and directed by Garland for A24.

The film marks another collaboration between Zendaya and A24, following the hit series ‘Euphoria‘ and ‘The Drama,’ her box office success alongside Robert Pattinson.

Garland, meanwhile, has built a reputation for mind-bending sci-fi through projects including ‘Ex Machina‘ and ‘Annihilation.’ He is also directing the upcoming ‘Elden Ring‘ adaptation scheduled to arrive in 2028.

Production for new sci-fi is expected to begin in 2027; plot details remain under wraps.
